| Hey, sorry if this isn't allowed or is frowned-upon (I'll delete it if one or both of these is the case, even though it'll make me sad), but I'm looking for any quote (or song lyrics) that has to do with unrequited love. I know there are a lot of quotes/lyrics out there dealing with that, but I lost of all them & specifically I'm looking for any quote in which the meaning is, you know, something like "I never/rarely talk to you but I really like you a lot & I think I'm in love with you & only if we knew each other we'd at least be really good friends & I honestly think we'd be perfect for each other". Or something like "You always stare at me a lot so idk if you just think I'm weird or you really like me because you're giving me mixed signals. If you do like me just tell me right now because I am super shy and I need you in me plz". Or simply something like "I don't want you to be the one that got away..."
Yeah, I'm pretty much going through this right now, & it sucks. Help me out please? :(

| I think God appreciates it even more because He created you in His image.. at least that's what I was always taught... and since God is love and God doesn't make mistakes, then you must be exactly the way He wants you to be. The way He intended you to be, and that goes for every person, every planet, every mountain, every grain of sand, every song, every tear, and every faggot. We're all His, Emmett. He loves us all.

| I hope it's ok to put a poem here, I was going to take a few quotes from it but then thought it worked so much better as a whole! THE GARDEN By Ezra Pound
Like a skien of loose silk blown against a wall She walks by the railing of a path in Kensington Gardens, And she is dying piece-meal of a sort of emotional anaemia.
And round about there is a rabble Of the filthy, sturdy, unkillable infants of the very poor. They shall inherit the earth.
In her is the end of breeding. Her boredom is exquisite and excessive. She would like some one to speak to her, And is almost afraid that I will commit that indiscretion.

| I'm looking for a quote from the movie (or book, I just haven't read it yet) "Feast of Love."
It goes like, "when you get married, have a child right away. And after that, have another one." It's said by the character Harry Stevenson (played by Morgan Freeman) to the character Chloe Barlow (played by Alexa Davalos).
Does anyone know the exact quote?

| After years of ignoring my old LJ, I decided to revamp it into a blog for only quotes, poems, interesting words, literature, and whatever else I come across in life. I'm hoping to find some LJ friends through this community whose journals serve similar purposes, yes? So add me? :)
Here's one of my most favorite quotes of all time from a book I read about two years back, called "Memory's Ghost" by Philip J. Hilts:
"I looked at the building across the way - in the midst of construction, destruction, or renovation - after the crane and ball had hollowed out the interior completely, while leaving the shell to stand alone. From a certain perspective in the street, the facade was intact, the building appeared solid, a place one could enter, rise through the floors, and conduct business in the layers and cubes familiar to urban people. But from another view, my view, four floors up and across an alley, the inside was empty, an archaeological marvel revealing the secrets of its fabrication: organs of metal and wire which had been snug between floors lay exposed; sinews which had run up and down between the walls were now stripped and dangling. Don't we see one another this way? I see you solid as a building, a full and seamless character with whom I exchange business and love, without looking for the tubes, beams, and wires that underlie the mechanics of your behavior. Though we have spent centuries pondering the questions, I still cannot tap on your walls and discover by the hollow or firm sounds which of your walls are merely decorative, and which ones hold everything up."
It should also be noted that this is how I find my quotes and all, kind of accidently, and so I hope to create an artful blog of quotes that wouldn't typically show up in a google search...
Thanks! Cassie.

| i have this adorable friend, and she always has guys after her, and because i'm like the 'average, nice girl' who's her close friend, the guys always come to me for advice, begging me to set them up with her, and there have been a few cases where i've even had a crush on the guy. does any one have any quotes about being just a friend? about being frustrated, yet helpful to people? being the shoulder to cry on? but not having one of your own to use? about being sick of being unloved, under appreciated? something along those lines...i hope this makes sense.
here are some quotes for your time:
Roses only last like a couple weeks and that's if you leave them in water. They really only exist to be pretty. So that's like saying, "My love for you is transitory and based solely on your appearance." But a potato! Potatos last forever! In fact, not only will they not rot, they actually grow stuff even if you just leave them in the sack. That part alone makes it a good symbol. But there's more! There are so many ways to enjoy a potato! You can even make a battery with it! That's like saying, "I have many ways in which I show my love for you." And potatos may be ugly, but they're still awesome. So that's like saying, "It doesn't matter at all what you look like, I'll still love you."
"There is something demoralizing about watching two people get more and more crazy about each other, especially when you are the only extra person in the room." -Sylvia Plath
"The one you love and the one who loves you are never, ever the same person." -Chuck Palahnuik
thank you!
